The Lord Of The Dance
I danced in the morning when the world was begun,
I dance in the moon and the stars and the sun,
I came down from Heaven and I danced on earth,
At Bethlehem I had my birth.
"Dance then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the dance," said he,
"And I'll lead you all wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the dance," said he.
I danced for the scribe and the Pharisee,
They would not dance, they wouldn't follow me.
So I danced for the fishermen,
James and John came with me and the dance went on.
"Dance then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the dance," said he,
"And I'll lead you all wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the dance," said he.
I danced on the Sabbath and I cured the lame,
The Holy people said it was a shame.
They whipped and they stripped and they hung me high,
Left me there on a cross to die.
"Dance then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the dance," said he,
"And I'll lead you all wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the dance," said he.
I danced on a Friday when the sky turned black,
It's hard who dance with the devil on your back.
They buried my body, they thought I'd gone,
But I am the dance, and I still go on.
"Dance then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the dance," said he,
"And I'll lead you all wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the dance," said he.
They cut me down, but I lept up high.
"I am the life that'll never never die
And I'll live in you if you'll live in me.

And I'll lead you all in the dance," said he
O Senhor da Dança
Eu dancei de manhã quando o mundo começou,
Eu danço na lua, nas estrelas e no sol,
Desci do Céu e dancei na terra,
Em Belém eu tive meu nascimento.
"Dance então, onde quer que você esteja,
Eu sou o Senhor da dança," disse ele,
"E eu vou te guiar onde quer que você vá,
E eu vou te guiar na dança," disse ele.
Eu dancei para o escriba e o fariseu,
Eles não queriam dançar, não me seguiam.
Então eu dancei para os pescadores,
Tiago e João vieram comigo e a dança continuou.
"Dance então, onde quer que você esteja,
Eu sou o Senhor da dança," disse ele,
"E eu vou te guiar onde quer que você vá,
E eu vou te guiar na dança," disse ele.
Eu dancei no sábado e curei o aleijado,
O povo santo disse que era uma vergonha.
Eles me chicotearam, me despiram e me penduraram alto,
Me deixaram lá numa cruz pra morrer.
"Dance então, onde quer que você esteja,
Eu sou o Senhor da dança," disse ele,
"E eu vou te guiar onde quer que você vá,
E eu vou te guiar na dança," disse ele.
Eu dancei numa sexta quando o céu escureceu,
É difícil dançar com o diabo nas suas costas.
Eles enterraram meu corpo, acharam que eu tinha ido,
Mas eu sou a dança, e eu ainda continuo.
"Dance então, onde quer que você esteja,
Eu sou o Senhor da dança," disse ele,
"E eu vou te guiar onde quer que você vá,
E eu vou te guiar na dança," disse ele.
Eles me cortaram, mas eu saltei alto.
"Eu sou a vida que nunca vai morrer
E eu vou viver em você se você viver em mim.
Eu sou o Senhor da dança," disse ele.
"Dance então, onde quer que você esteja,
Eu sou o Senhor da dança," disse ele,
"E eu vou te guiar onde quer que você vá,
E eu vou te guiar na dança," disse ele.
