I don't believe in ghosts
Or a god, or what I need most
I just need enough of you to sustain
A memory, so my eyes won't strain

Just like white ink on sheets of paper
Disappearing from me like vapor

Always in front of me was you
Always chasing a ghost
Always behind me was regret
Always followed by ghosts

I don't need to live my life like a ghost
Or a god, or a parasite's host

The last fragments of me that remain
