This Notebook
If this is the start of a new game that we'll play,
Dice will shake like my voice when i say the first move never felt so wrong,
I never thought it's take so long.
And i tip toe in a new direction.
Drop subtle hints for a glance of attention.
Take a step back for a second to mention,
If i cross a line just know i meant it.
But ill only go far enough, to stay this close.
I?m gonna write in this notebook
You never get to read through with phrases that i took
From conversation with you,
And throw them in the air with the possibility
These will be the words that you?ll someday sing.
I only hope you're listening.
The calendar says it took
About a year for me to displace
All my fears and mold it into skin so thick.
I want to shed it off and become fixed in awe over something they see flawed and let its beauty soften my skin
Let me take in everything that ive been missing.
If you're trying to find your way,
I'm finding a way to try. every word you ever doubted from the voice that screamed and shouted. and then broke down beyond repair,
But it served its purpose if i know you're there.
I only hope you're listening cause im done wasting time and wasting breath
Este Caderno
Se este é o começo de um novo jogo que vamos jogar,
Os dados vão chacoalhar como minha voz quando digo que a primeira jogada nunca pareceu tão errada,
Nunca pensei que ia demorar tanto.
E eu ando na ponta dos pés em uma nova direção.
Deixo dicas sutis para um olhar de atenção.
Dou um passo atrás por um segundo para mencionar,
Se eu cruzar uma linha, saiba que foi intencional.
Mas eu só vou até onde for necessário, para ficar tão perto.
Vou escrever neste caderno
Você nunca vai ler as frases que eu tirei
De conversas com você,
E jogá-las ao vento com a possibilidade
De que essas sejam as palavras que você um dia vai cantar.
Só espero que você esteja ouvindo.
O calendário diz que levou
Cerca de um ano para eu deslocar
Todos os meus medos e moldá-los em uma pele tão grossa.
Quero me livrar disso e ficar maravilhado com algo que eles veem como defeito e deixar sua beleza suavizar minha pele.
Deixe-me absorver tudo que eu estive perdendo.
Se você está tentando encontrar seu caminho,
Estou encontrando um jeito de tentar. cada palavra que você duvidou da voz que gritou e berrou. e então quebrou além do conserto,
Mas cumpriu seu propósito se eu sei que você está aí.
