And ye shall receive power when the Holy Ghost is come upon you

And you shall be My witnesses in Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the Earth

And when the day had fully come, they were all in one accord in one place

And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of a mighty rushing wind

And it filled the house where they were sitting

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues as of fire, and it sat upon each of them

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other tongues

When this was noised abroad, the multitudes came together and were amazed

Saying to one another, behold, how do we now hear them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God?

Others said, these men are full of new wine

But Peter lifted up his voice and said unto them, ye men of Judaea, and all ye who dwell in Jerusalem,

Let this be known unto you: that these are not drunken

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel.

And it shall come to pass in the last days

I shall pour out my spirit on all flesh,

Your sons and your daughters shall prophecy

Your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams

And I will show wonders in Heaven above, and signs in the Earth beneath

And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved

E vocês receberão poder quando o Espírito Santo descer sobre vocês

E vocês serão minhas testemunhas em Judéia, e em Samaria, e até os confins da Terra

E quando o dia chegou por completo, estavam todos reunidos em um só lugar

E de repente veio um som do Céu, como de um vento forte e impetuoso

E encheu a casa onde estavam sentados

E apareceram para eles línguas repartidas como de fogo, e pousaram sobre cada um deles

E todos foram cheios do Espírito Santo, e começaram a falar em outras línguas

Quando isso se espalhou, as multidões se reuniram e ficaram admiradas

Dizendo umas às outras, olha, como é que agora os ouvimos falar em nossas próprias línguas as maravilhas de Deus?

Outros diziam, esses homens estão cheios de vinho novo

Mas Pedro levantou a voz e disse a eles, homens da Judéia, e todos vocês que habitam em Jerusalém,

Saibam disto: que estes não estão bêbados

Mas isso é o que foi falado pelo profeta Joel.

E acontecerá nos últimos dias

Que derramarei meu espírito sobre toda carne,

Seus filhos e suas filhas profetizarão

Seus jovens terão visões, e seus velhos sonharão sonhos

E mostrarei prodígios no Céu acima, e sinais na Terra abaixo

E acontecerá que todo aquele que invocar o nome do Senhor será salvo
