E vocês receberão poder quando o Espírito Santo descer sobre vocêsAnd ye shall receive power when the Holy Ghost is come upon you
E vocês serão minhas testemunhas em Judéia, e em Samaria, e até os confins da TerraAnd you shall be My witnesses in Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the Earth

E quando o dia chegou por completo, estavam todos reunidos em um só lugarAnd when the day had fully come, they were all in one accord in one place
E de repente veio um som do Céu, como de um vento forte e impetuosoAnd suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of a mighty rushing wind
E encheu a casa onde estavam sentadosAnd it filled the house where they were sitting
E apareceram para eles línguas repartidas como de fogo, e pousaram sobre cada um delesAnd there appeared unto them cloven tongues as of fire, and it sat upon each of them
E todos foram cheios do Espírito Santo, e começaram a falar em outras línguasAnd they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other tongues

Quando isso se espalhou, as multidões se reuniram e ficaram admiradasWhen this was noised abroad, the multitudes came together and were amazed
Dizendo umas às outras, olha, como é que agora os ouvimos falar em nossas próprias línguas as maravilhas de Deus?Saying to one another, behold, how do we now hear them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God?
Outros diziam, esses homens estão cheios de vinho novoOthers said, these men are full of new wine
Mas Pedro levantou a voz e disse a eles, homens da Judéia, e todos vocês que habitam em Jerusalém,But Peter lifted up his voice and said unto them, ye men of Judaea, and all ye who dwell in Jerusalem,
Saibam disto: que estes não estão bêbadosLet this be known unto you: that these are not drunken
Mas isso é o que foi falado pelo profeta Joel.But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel.

E acontecerá nos últimos diasAnd it shall come to pass in the last days
Que derramarei meu espírito sobre toda carne,I shall pour out my spirit on all flesh,
Seus filhos e suas filhas profetizarãoYour sons and your daughters shall prophecy
Seus jovens terão visões, e seus velhos sonharão sonhosYour young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams
E mostrarei prodígios no Céu acima, e sinais na Terra abaixoAnd I will show wonders in Heaven above, and signs in the Earth beneath
E acontecerá que todo aquele que invocar o nome do Senhor será salvoAnd it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
