Gore drying black in the Sun
Twisted metal and human wreckage
A feast of curdling carrion

Windshield-shard laceration
Seat belt-cinched strangulation
Death was closer than it appeared
Life now in the rear-view mirror

Mortally wounded upon impact
Dying slow as organs slide out of place
The crumpled front end of a compact
Your final resting place

Limbs wrenched, arms akimbo
Vertebrae pulverized
A fate far worse than death or limbo
As your thorax is dis-organ-ized
