Daniel Prayed
Long ago in Babylon
There lived a man named Daniel
He loved God with all his heart
And prayed to Him every day
The king saw Daniel was so wise
And gave him a place of honor
But some men became jealous
And they wanted Daniel gone
They made a law, do not pray
But Daniel prayed to God each day
He opened his window to the sky
And prayed to God on high
Daniel prayed, Daniel prayed
He trusted God and was not afraid

God was with Him all the way
They took Daniel to the den
Where hungry lions stay
But God sent an angel there
And Daniel was not afraid
The king came early in the day
And called: Daniel, are you safe?
Yes, my God has rescued me
He kept me safe all night

He trusted God and was not afraid

God was with Him all the way
When I am scared, I will pray
