Daniel Prayed

Há muito tempo na BabilôniaLong ago in Babylon
Vivia um homem chamado DanielThere lived a man named Daniel
Ele amava a Deus de todo coraçãoHe loved God with all his heart
E orava a Ele todo diaAnd prayed to Him every day
O rei viu que Daniel era tão sábioThe king saw Daniel was so wise
E lhe deu um lugar de honraAnd gave him a place of honor
Mas alguns homens ficaram com invejaBut some men became jealous
E queriam que Daniel sumisseAnd they wanted Daniel gone

Fizeram uma lei, não oreThey made a law, do not pray
Mas Daniel orava a Deus todo diaBut Daniel prayed to God each day
Ele abriu sua janela para o céuHe opened his window to the sky
E orava a Deus lá em cimaAnd prayed to God on high

Daniel orou, Daniel orouDaniel prayed, Daniel prayed
Ele confiou em Deus e não teve medoHe trusted God and was not afraid
Daniel orou, Daniel orouDaniel prayed, Daniel prayed
Deus estava com ele o tempo todoGod was with Him all the way

Levaram Daniel para a covaThey took Daniel to the den
Onde os leões famintos ficamWhere hungry lions stay
Mas Deus mandou um anjo láBut God sent an angel there
E Daniel não teve medoAnd Daniel was not afraid

O rei veio cedo de manhãThe king came early in the day
E gritou: Daniel, você está seguro? And called: Daniel, are you safe?
Sim, meu Deus me resgatouYes, my God has rescued me
Ele me manteve seguro a noite todaHe kept me safe all night

Daniel orou, Daniel orouDaniel prayed, Daniel prayed
Ele confiou em Deus e não teve medoHe trusted God and was not afraid
Daniel orou, Daniel orouDaniel prayed, Daniel prayed
Deus estava com ele o tempo todoGod was with Him all the way

Quando eu estiver com medo, eu vou orarWhen I am scared, I will pray
Deus vai me ajudar todo diaGod will help me every day
