The Waiting Crown

In the castle halls I pace the stone
A golden throne but a heart alone
The stars don't speak they just burn and stare
A kingdom's mine but who would care

I built a bridge of hope and flame
But no one's crossed to call my name

I wear the waiting crown tonight
For a prince who'll never see the light
