I came to a field of green where the corn stalks grew so tall
The sunlight could not pierce to the winding path below
Round and round I went under those waving stems
I followed the shadowed path marked so faintly with her step
Down in the winding corn maze where green stalks shiver in the wind
There in a swarm of bees I knelt down at her feet
Such spirals spread for miles through the bending leaves
And she took me to her arms in that cloud of honey bees
Whirring in their whirling as they rose on golden wings

Eu cheguei a um campo verde onde as espigas de milho cresciam tão altas
A luz do sol não conseguia penetrar no caminho sinuoso abaixo
Rodando e rodando eu fui sob aqueles caules balançando
Segui o caminho sombreado marcado tão levemente com seu passo
No labirinto de milho onde os caules verdes tremem ao vento
Lá, em meio a um enxame de abelhas, eu me ajoelhei aos seus pés
Tais espirais se espalhavam por milhas entre as folhas que se curvavam
E ela me abraçou naquele nuvem de abelhas-dos-mel
Zumbindo em seu rodopio enquanto subiam em asas douradas
No labirinto de milho onde os caules verdes tremem ao vento
