From ashes we arose
A cradle made of bones
We feasted on each other's throats
Societies emerged
A circle fully fledged
We clutched our hands until they bled
We came alone
Blind and naked in this world
We grew and thrived
Faced extinction and survived
But now it's time
To look down from where we've climbed
A parasite
With a host ever dying
And through the violence
We broke the silent vow
We will be lost and never found
And still the killing goes on
Leaving ashes and destruction in our wake
Wistfully gazing above
When there's not much longer 'till we burst in flames
How long will this carry on?
Soon the ground will crumble, swallowing us whole
Spiralling out of control

Under the nuclear skies
Broken promises that killed our future home
