Duel and Epilogue
He continued looking for, spreading illnesses,
until giving with the barrow of Glamr.
At least the pleasure would be given of devouring his bones,
and he would continue with his devastation
until finding the rest.
He finally arrived at the mound
where Glamr was buried.
He entered in the howe,
only to discover that Glamr
neither he rested
Glamr was also a draugr.
Glamr and Thoromir fought,
draugr against draugr,
undead against undead,
during hundred seventy nights,
only paused
just to calm their insatiable hungers
destroying livestock and farms
along the whole Nordic coast.
Thoromir triumphed,
he devoured Glamr,
but he could not rest.
Until the appearance of a hero,
protected by Oddhinn, perhaps,
a certain Grettir who beheaded Thoromir
and buried him with his head
between the thighs.
And Thoromir, after his destruction step
from the extreme south more to the south of Vinland,
was able to rest, without standing up never more.
Duelo e Epílogo
Ele continuou procurando, espalhando doenças,
até encontrar a cova de Glamr.
Pelo menos o prazer viria de devorar seus ossos,
e ele continuaria com sua devastação
até encontrar o resto.
Ele finalmente chegou ao monte
onde Glamr estava enterrado.
Ele entrou na tumba,
só para descobrir que Glamr
não descansava
Glamr também era um draugr.
Glamr e Thoromir lutaram,
draugr contra draugr,
mortos-vivos contra mortos-vivos,
durante cento e setenta noites,
só pararam
apenas para acalmar suas fomes insaciáveis
destruindo gado e fazendas
ao longo de toda a costa nórdica.
Thoromir triunfou,
ele devorou Glamr,
mas não pôde descansar.
Até a aparição de um herói,
protegido por Oddhinn, talvez,
um certo Grettir que decapitou Thoromir
e o enterrou com a cabeça
entre as coxas.
E Thoromir, após seu passo de destruição
do extremo sul mais ao sul de Vinland,
pôde descansar, sem se levantar nunca mais.
