Picks up his hat. Pulls on his boots.
Ripped up jeans - yeah he's got nothing to lose.
Ticks on the clock. Hands in his pockets.
Cigarette it's hanging out of his mouth.
Works on the job. He don't like where he's gone.
He found he was running, then he ran out of luck.
"What do they see in a man like me?" Not much.
Well every day's the same. He knows he's ready for a change.
He says, "Believe in me" This place is smaller than it seems.
He's grown much bigger than his dreams.

Picks up the phone.
She's always alone. Broken heart, and she's got no place to go.
Books on the shelf. She'll stick to herself.
Cigarettes they're only bad for her health.
Lives on the job. She don't like what she's done.
She found she was falling, then she fell out of love.
"What do they see in a woman like me?" Not much.
It's time for her to stop She's sick of living by the clock.

Pega o chapéu. Coloca as botas.
Jeans rasgado - é, ele não tem nada a perder.

Um cigarro pendurado na boca.
Trabalha no emprego. Ele não gosta de onde chegou.

Cigarros só fazem mal pra saúde dela.
Vive pelo trabalho. Ela não gosta do que fez.
Percebeu que estava caindo, então se desapaixonou.

É hora de ela parar. Ela está cansada de viver pelo relógio.
