Tudo estava escuro não havia formaEverything was dark there was no form

O espírito de Deus estava se movendo "sobre a águaThe spirit of God was moving' over the water
Antes ele decidiu criar tudo neleBefore he decided to create everything in it
Ele estava apenas a costa oeste olhando para a águaHe was just west coastin' lookin' at the water
Não houve vida, tudo foi anuladoThere was no life, everything was void
Não havia vento, não havia céu nem terra secaThere was no wind, there was no sky, no dry land
E não houve barulhoAnd there was no noise
Disse que houvesse luz e depois houveSaid let there be light & then there was
Ele brilhou tanto que o senhor ficou satisfeitoIt shined so bright that the lord was pleased
O ele separou e nomeou dia e noiteThe he separated and named day and night
E tudo isso no primeiro diaAnd all of that on day O.N.E

Então ele separou a água abaixo de cimaThen he separated the water below from above
E ele chamou a água que está lá em cima céuAnd he called the water that is up there sky
E isso é umidade, e como a chuva caiAnd that's moisture, and how the rain drops
E é aí que vemos a terra chorarAnd that's when we see the earth cry
E esse foi o segundo diaAnd that was day two
E no terceiro dia é quando a terra começou a tomar formaAnd on day three that's when the land started taking it's shape
Então ele fez sementes que se transformariam em plantasThen he made seeds that would turn into plants
Algumas delas para descascar frutas e depois algumas para descascarSome of them to bare fruit & then some to bare grain
Então no quarto dia ele fez duas luzesThen on the fourth day he made two lights
Então eles poderiam governar o dia e a noiteSo they could rule over day & the night
Não é a mesma luz que ele fez no primeiro diaNot the same light that he made on day one
Veja estas são as luzes que definem nosso tempoSee these are the lights that define our time
Dias e anos, horas e minutosDays & years, hours and minutes
Sol e a lua e as estrelas no céuSun & the moon & the stars in the sky
Diga-nos que horas são, não importa onde estamosTell us what time it is no matter where we at
Não importa para onde vamos eles vão brilharNo matter where we go they will shine

No dia 5, Deus fez a vidaOn day 5, God made life
Peixe no mar e os pássaros no arFish in the sea & the birds in the air
Deus abençoou em todos, disse para preencher o lugar que eles vivemGod blessed em all, told em to fill up the place that they live
Então é isso que eles fizeramSo that's just what they did
Então vieram os animais que andam em terraThen came the animals that walk on land
Domestic & wild, small & largeDomestic & wild, small & large
Criado com um simples pensamento do arquitetoCreated with a simple thought from the architect
O único charles real responsávelThe only real charles in charge
E esse foi o sexto dia, mas ainda assim ele não terminouAnd that was day six, but yet he wasn't done
Tudo isso foi feito logo antes de nos formarAll of that was made right before he formed us
Porque naquele último dia, é quando tudo mudariaCause on that last day, that's when it would all change
E ele criaria as coisas que ele amaAnd he'd create the things that he loves

O deus que separa o dia da noiteThe God who separates day from the night
