Late last night, I made up my mind
Set my alarm for 5.05
Coleman full of coffee, rods in the truck
Time to knock off a little tackle box dust
Thirty minute drive, and walk down a hill
To a little piece of water where the world stands still

And I still get hung up on that oak tree
Throw that Texas rig you showed me
Learned a lot about life
Wetting a line on a muddy riverbank with you
We'd talk pickup trucks to Jesus
Through Redman and Bocephus

And that's what brought me out here today

Well, I know there's better places

But floating out there, filling up a live well
