Run

I should have known it from the first step, should have known it frommy birth, I won't reach my destination. The flesh is so weak, I've tried to fit in, but now I'm back, spit out again. Spit out again!
I ran away and I found nothing. I ran further, I found none. Try to return to my fire. Have I gone to far, too far to turn back? From here it ain't going further. What have I done?
Under a tired sun I crave, so lost'n'cold. Will I ever return to the once, I've left behind? I followed my dream, and now I know what it means to beg. Forgive me for I've done it all wrong. I'm walking trough the lonely rain, forget myself, try to forget my pain. My leading fire fades away, don't leave me back so old'n'dirty.
When I look into the mirror, I can see your face no more. Was it me who let you pass by? Alone'n'broken, faraway from home. Oh hear my prayers. Fire, walk with me.
So I returned from the outside, crawl back, find no place left to hide. Sometimes I wish that I could cry. Oh come on, look at me now. I'm not afraid to show you, what I was not able to feel yet. All I've learned was pain'n'punishment. Punishment!
So I keep on running away.
