Buried deep between old pages
Someone standing in the sunlight
Before the weight of passing ages

Eyes that didn't hesitate
Hands that never learned to stay
Looking at that distant version
Feels like watching it decay

Something slowly slipped away

Stone veins running through me now
Where the fire used to live

Names and places blur together
Stories drift without a sound

Narrows slowly to the ground

I can trace the fading outline
