Phantom Spirit

By the light of the moon
I have risen it seems
To the realm of the stars
Far above the souls' prison
Disappearing into a silent limbo
I who could hear any whisper
In the world
Through winds and rains
Whispers that spread
Beyond the dreaming spires
Of other worlds
My spirit shipped
The bonds of tree and lake
To ride upon the solar wind
To return by nightfall
As the first shadow of dusk
Doomed to walk between
The dark and light
An ancient ghost
Of death and night
