Staring at the ceiling tiles counting cracks in my mind
Rain outside my window just killing time
Heart tangled in a mess can't find the way out
Voice inside screaming but can't let it shout

Walking around in circles trails in the dust
Trying to find the meaning in a world I can't trust
Hoping for a sunrise but the night never ends
Lost in translation where none of it blends

I don't know how to feel when nothing seems real
Empty spaces around me a void I can't heal
Searching for answers in a whirlpool of doubt
Silence is louder than the words that I shout

Coffee cups on the counter gathering stains
Reflection in the mirror won't reveal my chains
Laughing on the outside but crying inside
No one ever sees the tears that I hide

Running through the motions like a ghost in a maze
Days blend together in a foggy haze
Trying to grab hold but it slips through my hands
Wishing someone out there understands
