I'm not gangsta rap, i don't want to be a thug/
I found a place in rap, that's just what i knew to love/
So i lace a track, with the word made of hope/
To cope when you get discouraged and focus deep on the notes/
So know what i feel, i'll blow that for real/
And no i'm not jelous when you get a record deal/
'cause it's not about what we got, so why you flashin' the loot/
And renting women in your video shoots/
Since i've lifted up my feet, and stepped in the game/
Everybody wants to tell me how to look and what to say/
They meet me on the streets expecting diamonds in my chain/
But focus on the meaning in the words that i display/
I don't need to buy a car, i don't need to buy the range/

I come across some people as i journey the map/
Say it's impossible for any white person to rap/

So focus on these humans 'cause they each have trails/
And not everybody rappin' is goin' in and out of jail/
I'll admit a lot of songs on the radio list/
Have a message unworthy for a radio hit/
But with help and lots of prayer i can change all thoughts/
So i don't need one spin on your radio spot/
