Hope Alive

I saw the hardened ground, a land so bare
Yet still I tried to find something there
With weary hands, I held my stance
Even when the world said: Quit, don't take the chance

They said: You won't succeed
But what is born through faith
Doesn't follow numbers
And makes no mistakes

Through the days of struggle, of waiting, of pain
In the hardship and losses, the lessons I gained
But it was will that made the roots grow strong inside
And now I see the fort that I can't hide

And the strength kept pushing me on
Through the storm, a new dawn shone
Now my voice is finally free
There’s a fire burning inside me!

For the promise came alive
Time has shown the will survives
To those who said you’d fall
Now they see the light will never die

Remember when it felt like all would disappear?
But even darkness taught us how to persevere
What once was failure turned into the guide
What once was burden became a hope alive

The shadow never faded
It carries purpose deep
It only needs a heart
That dares to still believe
