Camera Obscura
Differently, yet always so one-sidedly.
Briefly and never profoundedly.
Lack of time, lack of sympathy;
The way this inverted world works: affectedly.
Merely a vision, even if a narrow one,
An underestimated ambition never fades to the background.
Keeps coming up and coming up again,
Until the single second when everything's captured.
So focused in it's self-centralled reality,
Despises and leaves one's within unnoticed.
Only the figures and outside appearance count,
As the purpose is only to immortalize everything.
Never scenting the crucial atmosphere,
Just it's own angle and point of view.
Unilateral as well as shallow, but still...
Again the truth has been misinterpretted.
Greed and it's lethal companions,
Suffocate and re-prioritize morality.
Attached to once adventurous yet narrow gaze,
To those venal and always naive eyes,
To the twisted two-coloured amaze.
So it is and i can't change it;
Tender intension fades to penitance.
Helpless am i before those overrated lifelines,
That make difference unacceptable...

Diferente, mas sempre tão unilateral.
Breve e nunca profundo.
Falta de tempo, falta de empatia;
A forma como esse mundo invertido funciona: afetada.
Apenas uma visão, mesmo que estreita,
Uma ambição subestimada nunca sai de cena.
Continua surgindo e surgindo de novo,
Até o único segundo em que tudo é capturado.
Tão focado em sua realidade autocentrada,
Despreza e ignora quem está por dentro.
Apenas as figuras e a aparência externa contam,
Pois o propósito é apenas imortalizar tudo.
Nunca sentindo a atmosfera crucial,
Apenas seu próprio ângulo e ponto de vista.
Unilateral e superficial, mas ainda assim...
Novamente a verdade foi mal interpretada.
Ganância e seus companheiros letais,
Sufocam e re-priorizam a moralidade.
Preso a um olhar uma vez aventureiro, mas estreito,
Aqueles olhos venais e sempre ingênuos,
Para a confusão torcida de duas cores.
Assim é e eu não posso mudar;
A intenção suave se transforma em penitência.
Sou impotente diante dessas linhas de vida superestimadas,
Que tornam a diferença inaceitável...
