Gabriels Message
The angel Gabriel from heaven came
His wings as drifted snow
His eyes as flame
From God all hail the angel said to Mary
Most highly favoured lady

"Fear not for you shall bear a holy child
By him to God be reconciled
His name shall be Emmanuel
The long-foretold"

Then gentle Mary humbly bowed her head
"To me be as it pleaseth God" she said
"My soul shall praise and magnify his Holy name"

And so she said "How happy I shall be
All generations will remember me
For God has kept his promises to Israel"

Of her Emmanuel the Christ was born
On Bethlehem upon that Christmas morn
And Christian folk throughout the world will ever say

O anjo Gabriel do céu desceu
Suas asas como a neve a flutuar
Seus olhos como chamas
De Deus, todos saudam, o anjo disse a Maria

"Não temas, pois um filho santo terás
Por meio dele, a Deus serás reconciliada
Seu nome será Emanuel
O tão esperado"

Então, a doce Maria humildemente inclinou a cabeça
"Que seja feito em mim como Deus quiser" ela disse
"Minha alma louvará e exaltará seu Santo nome"

Todas as gerações se lembrarão de mim
Pois Deus cumpriu suas promessas a Israel"
