Lion Trap

I get up every morning
Right at 6 o'clock
That's how I start my morning
I get in my car and drive a few short blocks
To my job
Well I've done it for a long long time
Long enough to make the long days mine
But I keep hoping that someday I'll find
That it's all a bad dream
'Cause it's such a sad scene

Once there was a lion
A spirit free and true
Till the day the trappers came
They sold him to the zoo
They might has well have sold me too
Don't tell me about your luck, my friend
Don't tell me that you're at your end
We've all been there and back again
You'll be back again too
