Precious Promises

When I see a rainbow
I'm reminded this
I have a friend who won't forget
His promises

When I hear a sparrow
Lifting up his song
To the one who sent his love
It makes me want to sing along

There's a freedom in him
There's a peace within my soul
I know it's true
What's been foretold
Will come into view
I see a day when all hatred
Will pass away
And all the nations of the world
Will belong to the lord
And he will reign in righteousness
Forever more

Casting your cares upon him
For he cares for you
Receive his word into your heart
And he'll see you through

He has given to us
Precious promises
To claim each day for our own
Because we are his and his alone
