Para cumprir as palavras desta aliançaTo perform the words of this covenant
Que estava escrito no LivroThat was written in the Book

E agora o rei queimou todos os utensíliosAnd now the king burned all the vessels
Que foram feitos para BaalThat were made for Baal
Ele matou todos os sacerdotes de Baal e também aquelesHe killed all the priests of Baal and also those
Que adoravam o sol, a lua, as constelaçõesWho worshipped the sun, the moon, the constellations
E ele tirou a AsheráAnd he brought out the Ashera
Da casa do SenhorOut of the house of the Lord
E a queimou e a reduziu a póAnd burned it and ground it into dust

Depois de destruir toda a idolatriaAfter destroying all idolatry
O rei Josias ordenou a todo o povo dizendo:The king Josiah commanded all the people saying:
Celebrem a Páscoa ao Senhor seu DeusCelebrate the Passah to the Lord your God
