Desolate Spheres
I close my eyes and the sun goes out
hold a breath and all of the creatures fall dead
cover my ears and the universe goes silent
not a water drop
not a heartbeat
not a sound from a songbird in any of the 4 corners
I swallow the stars until they burn like coals through my eyes
my outline glows against the night sky like an eclipse of the sun
and sparks follow each of my movements like a shower of meteors
I light up the sky with the Aurora
comets appear before dawn
he greets us at death in that quiet place that is faint in our memories
that place that has always been there but we can’t quite remember
When you cross that bridge to the other world, open the door and step through
step through the stars, swim through the gate,
touch the very boundaries of the universe
Esferas Desoladas
Eu fecho os olhos e o sol se apaga
prendo a respiração e todas as criaturas caem mortas
tapo os ouvidos e o universo fica em silêncio
não uma gota d'água
não um batimento cardíaco
não um som de passarinho em nenhum dos 4 cantos
Eu engulo as estrelas até que queimem como carvões nos meus olhos
meu contorno brilha contra o céu noturno como um eclipse do sol
e faíscas seguem cada um dos meus movimentos como uma chuva de meteoros
Eu ilumino o céu com a Aurora
cometas aparecem antes do amanhecer
ele nos recebe na morte naquele lugar tranquilo que é vago em nossas memórias
aquele lugar que sempre esteve lá, mas não conseguimos lembrar direito
Quando você atravessar aquela ponte para o outro mundo, abra a porta e passe
passe pelas estrelas, nade através do portão,
toca os limites do universo.
