Know Hope
Well, the subject of the work is obviously political
It's not party politics, it's the politics of people
Not only their dreams but also the nightmares of people
That are caught in the firing line of war or rape
Or whatever it is that's negative to life
But uhm, I never did these pieces
Without some sort of symbol of hope
So you have to find it in there, I think
Somewhere
Because I think the resilience of humans is absolutely extraordinary
You know, to come through a lot
That I've never experienced and I hope never to experience
But I've met people who've been through the horrors of life
And have come out on the other side still sane
Which is pretty amazing, very inspiring
Some sort of symbol of hope
You have to find it in there

Bem, o tema do trabalho é obviamente político
Não é política partidária, é a política das pessoas
Não apenas seus sonhos, mas também os pesadelos das pessoas
Que estão no alvo da guerra ou do estupro
Ou qualquer coisa que seja negativa para a vida
Mas, hum, eu nunca fiz essas peças
Sem algum tipo de símbolo de esperança
Então você tem que encontrá-lo lá, eu acho
Em algum lugar
Porque eu acho que a resiliência dos seres humanos é absolutamente extraordinária
Sabe, passar por muita coisa
Que eu nunca experimentei e espero nunca experimentar
Mas conheci pessoas que passaram pelos horrores da vida
E saíram do outro lado ainda sãs
O que é incrível, muito inspirador
Algum tipo de símbolo de esperança
Você tem que encontrá-lo lá
