Carrying with it my questions and my voiceQue llevo con el mis preguntas y mi voz
Like a slow boat lost in the foamComo un lento barco se perdio en la espuma
I asked it not to turn backLe pedi que no diera la vuelta
Without having seen the high seasSin haber visto el altamar
And in dreams talk to me about what it sawY en suenos hablar conmigo de lo que vio
Even if it never returnedAun si no volviera
I would know if it arrivedYo sabria si llego
Travel the whole lifeViajar la vida entera
Through the calm blue in stormy shipwrecksPor la calma azul en tormentas zozobrar
The way doesn't matter if some port awaitsPoco importa el modo si algun puerto espera
I waited so long for the messageAguarde tanto tiempo el mensaje
That I forgot to return to the seaQue olvide volver al mar
And so I lost that poemY asi yo perdi aquel poema
I shouted my resentment to the skiesGrite a los cielos todo mi rencor
I finally found it but written in the sandLo halle por fin pero escrito en la arena
Like a prayerComo un oracion
The sea struck in my veinsEl mar golpeo in mis venas
And freed my heart.Y libro mi corazon.
