No princípio, Deus criou o céu e a terra.In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
E a terra era sem forma e vazia.And the earth was without form, and void.
E a escuridão estava sobre a face do abismo.And darkness was upon the face of the deep.
E o Espírito de Deus pairava sobre as águas. E Deus disse: Que haja luz. E houve luz. E Deus viu que a luz era boa e Deus separou a luz da escuridão.And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light. And there was light. And God saw the light that it was good and God divided light from the darkness.
