Never Surrender

How many times did I rise up from hell
Walk through the fire, feel the burning heat?
How many times I fought my inner demons
Always trying to drag me down beneath?
How many times did I have to kill my flesh
Just to stay alive?

I will never surrender
I will never stop the fight
Even when they rise against me
The gates of hell won't stand tonight

How many times I fought against my own will
Just to not completely break
Just to never fall to my knees
In front of those who wanted me erased?
How many times did hell scream out my name
And I never answered back?
I kept moving on
Lost inside the endless dark
With a blackened soul
Feeling nothing at all

They all came straight for me
A thousand fell on one side, ten thousand on the other
Hell tried to claim my life
But I survived

Inside my heart there was nothing but a void
All that remained was ice
A cold so deep
It sometimes made me fear myself
But even then
I stayed on my feet
