No Enemy
Unexpected unexplained, it's not as complicated as they say.
How and why? Who and when? Terror comes from nowhere it seems.
I don't blame anyone but ourselves, I don't think it's wrong though.
I understand completely how someone who has
been pushed around will eventually push back.
Terrorists can't start a war, terrorists are few.
They have no country, they have no army.
When terrorists have attacked they are usually dead with their victims.
This is what we hate more then anything, an enemy that you cannot fight.
Someone you can't just stomp into the ground with overwhelming force.
Someone that is ready to give their life to change.
This among many other things, leads me to believe that our
way is not the best way.
Force suddenly doesn't seem so powerful anymore,
"mind over matter" isn't it?
Having high technology weapons, superior strikeforce, that can't help you
to defend yourself, only to attack.
But when the enemy is taken out of the equation you have already lost the
battle.
You cannot win when you have no enemy to fight, your only hope
is to talk with those who may become your enemy tomorrow.
Talk and prey that they still listen.
Sem Inimigo
Inesperado e inexplicável, não é tão complicado quanto dizem.
Como e por quê? Quem e quando? O terror vem do nada, parece.
Não culpo ninguém além de nós mesmos, não acho que esteja errado.
Entendo completamente como alguém que foi
oprimido eventualmente vai se defender.
Terroristas não podem começar uma guerra, terroristas são poucos.
Eles não têm país, não têm exército.
Quando terroristas atacam, geralmente estão mortos com suas vítimas.
Isso é o que mais odiamos, um inimigo que você não pode enfrentar.
Alguém que você não pode simplesmente pisotear com força esmagadora.
Alguém que está pronto para dar a vida para mudar.
Isso, entre muitas outras coisas, me leva a acreditar que nosso
caminho não é o melhor caminho.
A força de repente não parece tão poderosa assim,
"mente sobre matéria", não é?
Ter armas de alta tecnologia, força de ataque superior, isso não pode te ajudar
a se defender, só a atacar.
Mas quando o inimigo é tirado da equação, você já perdeu a
batalha.
Você não pode vencer quando não tem inimigo para lutar, sua única esperança
é conversar com aqueles que podem se tornar seu inimigo amanhã.
Falar e rezar para que ainda ouçam.
