Thriving In Solitude

When the sun rises
And dreams fade away
I'm back to real life
Where I have led astray

The doubt consumes my soul
The load of duty takes its toll

Are these lies or bitter truth

A gray dawn starts anew

Looking through the window
I see my days passing by
Nothing’s left in my heart
Now I remain wondering why

As I stayed cringed, left without a choice
I recalled my reflection and the sound of my own voice
Moving onward, step by step I arouse again
Sudden finding, I spot a new world ahead

Affection is only a small price to pay
Aiming to the top I will make my way
Meaningless life, shadows grow from inside
Fooling myself, hostage from my own desire
All the things that I have once lost revive
Remind me what it’s like to be truly alive
