Qualquer Sonho Serve

Sarah Brightman

Any Dream Will Do

I closed my eyes,
drew back the curtain
To see for certain
what I thought I knew.

Far, far away
someone was weeping,
But the world was sleeping
Any dream will do.

I wore my coat
with golden lining,
Bright colours shining,
wonderful and new.

And in the east
the dawn was breaking
And the world was waking
Any dream will do.

A crash of drums,
a flash of light,
My golden coat,
flew out of sight.
The colours faded into darkness
I was left alone.

May I return
To the beginning?
The light is dimming,
and the dream is too.

The world and I,
We are still waiting,
Still hestating.
Any dream will do.

Any dream will do.

Qualquer Sonho Serve

Eu fechei os olhos,
afastei a cortina
Pra ver com certeza
o que eu achava que sabia.

Longe, bem longe
alguém estava chorando,
Mas o mundo estava dormindo
Qualquer sonho serve.

Eu vesti meu casaco
com forro dourado,
Cores brilhantes reluzindo,
maravilhoso e novo.

E no leste
a aurora estava surgindo
E o mundo estava acordando
Qualquer sonho serve.

Um estrondo de tambores,
um clarão de luz,
Meu casaco dourado,
desapareceu da vista.
As cores se apagaram na escuridão
Eu fiquei sozinho.

Posso voltar
Ao começo?
A luz está diminuindo,
e o sonho também.

O mundo e eu,
Ainda estamos esperando,
Ainda hesitando.
Qualquer sonho serve.

Qualquer sonho serve.
