My Place
Late last night, I decided to take a swim
Took off all my clothes, turned around, and dove in
Suddenly, I realized I was naked for the world to see
And the way to float had never been taught to me
And I said, 'I'm unsure of my place in this world
And I won't understand till I'm older'
And as you can imagine, I sank 2000 fathoms
And when I hit bottom, oh, the fishies were ramblin'
They said 'Hey, kid what'cha doin', who's life you trying to ruin?
Get back on top' and this was my reply
And I said, 'I'm unsure of my place in this world

Soon that night drew to a close
I swam back to my piled up clothes
Put 'em back on and wondered where I was to go
I've heard people say it's best to do what'cha know
And I said, 'I'm unsure of my place in this world
And I won't understand till I'm older'
Maybe I won't even get it then
That's why I decided I'd just dive right back in
Meu Lugar
Na noite passada, decidi dar um mergulho
Tirei toda a roupa, me virei e mergulhei
De repente, percebi que estava nu para o mundo ver
E nunca me ensinaram a flutuar, que coisa estranha
E eu disse: 'Não sei qual é o meu lugar nesse mundo
E não vou entender até ficar mais velho'
E como você pode imaginar, afundei 2000 braças
E quando cheguei ao fundo, oh, os peixes estavam à toa
Eles disseram: 'Ei, garoto, o que você tá fazendo, de quem você tá tentando estragar a vida?
Volta pra cima' e essa foi minha resposta
E eu disse: 'Não sei qual é o meu lugar nesse mundo
Mas não vou entender até ficar mais velho'
Logo aquela noite chegou ao fim
Nadei de volta para minhas roupas amontoadas
Coloquei de volta e me perguntei pra onde eu deveria ir
Ouvi pessoas dizendo que é melhor fazer o que você sabe
E eu disse: 'Não sei qual é o meu lugar nesse mundo
E não vou entender até ficar mais velho'
Talvez eu nem entenda então
Por isso decidi que ia mergulhar de novo.
