Driving through texas thinking
Don't look back
Hoping to avoid that drinking to forget.
I think i feel best on the move.
When you've got no one,
There's no one to lose.
Sleep in the hatchback.
Going? not sure yet.
I've never felt so free but so constrained.
If you're too afraid to lose,
Then you're too afraid to gain.
You know i tried hard to forget everything,
But it's too much for me to refrain
And i wanted to start fresh again,
But i couldn't forget me.
I drove far just to get away from the life
That i wished to erase
But it followed me anyway.
I found i could not escape it.
