There are some stories about old Johnny boy
A man who was wise and strong
But he drunk to much, old whiskey and Beer
You know what I'm talking about
He's spirit has walked over the hills
And the seas whispering he's name
You could hear he's voice he talked with the wind
The man who lives in your heart

Here's the poet who draws his own lines
Here's the man and he's spirit flies through the sky
Like an eagle flies so free up in the sky
I feel so warm inside, like Johnny stood here beside

The story of old Johnny boy never dies
I heard a new one to day
And the wind touch my soul, and I heard a song
While the mist lies over the fields
And I saw a shadow on the hills one day
I think it was Johnny a saw
The man was poet the man was a fool
The ghost who lives in your heart

Here's the poet who draws his own lines
Here's the man and he's music lays in the air

And when the children sing his songs once again
I feel so sad inside, like Johnny stood here beside
