I Was Confused (about The Television)
I watched the news just the other day
and there's one thing I must say,
It gave me a pain right in the middle of my head.
The newsman came on with his face
and told me about the big disgrace
and let me know just how many people got dead.
And I got down.
It got me down.
So I got up and turned it off
and that left me alone with my thoughts
and a great big pain right in the middle of my head.
And I was confused.. (I didn't know what to do)
Well, I watched a show
just the other night
and I must say something
was not right.
How come people on television's weird
in the head?
They won't show sex but they
show a lot of killing
I guess it would be better to show blood spilling
than to let little Jr. see
two naked people in bed.

Eu assisti ao noticiário outro dia
E tem uma coisa que eu preciso dizer,
Me deu uma dor bem no meio da cabeça.
O repórter apareceu com sua cara
E me contou sobre a grande desgraça
E me avisou quantas pessoas morreram.
E eu fiquei pra baixo.
Isso me deixou pra baixo.
Então eu levantei e desliguei
E isso me deixou sozinho com meus pensamentos
E uma grande dor bem no meio da cabeça.
E eu estava confuso.. (eu não sabia o que fazer)
Bem, eu assisti a um programa
na outra noite
E eu preciso dizer que
algo não estava certo.
Como é que as pessoas na televisão são estranhas
na cabeça?
Eles não mostram sexo, mas
mostram muita matança.
Acho que seria melhor mostrar sangue jorrando
do que deixar o pequeno Jr. ver
duas pessoas nuas na cama.
