Quando os ímpios se levantam contra mim para me devorarWhen the wicked rise against me to devour me
São meus inimigos e inimigos que tropeçam e caemIt’s my enemies and foes who stumble and fall

Embora um exército se levante contra mim, não temereiThough an army rise against me, I will not fear
Embora uma guerra surja contra mim, mesmo assim eu ficarei confianteThough a war arise against me, even then I’ll be confident

Uma coisa peço ao Senhor e procuroOne thing I ask from the Lord, and seek
Para habitar em Sua casa todos os meus diasTo dwell in His house all my days
Contemplar sua beleza e inquirir em seu temploTo gaze upon His beauty and to inquire in His temple

Pois no dia da angústia, Ele me manterá a salvoFor in the day of trouble, He will keep me safe
Na sua tenda Ele me esconderá em seu lugar secretoIn His tent He will hide me in His secret place
Então Ele me colocará no alto de uma rochaThen He’ll set me high upon a rock
Então minha cabeça será levantada bem acima dos meus inimigosThen my head will be lifted high above my foes
