Recovering Mjöllnir

One morning the hammer of Thor was away,
the power of gods was stolen.
Thor knew that the giants took it their way
and deeply started to curse them!
So he traveled to giants land,
to Thrym the king of Thurses.
Bring me Freyja, Thrym said to Thor,
to have her by my hand.

The hammer is deeply under the earth,
if you want have it back to life,
bring me Freyja the lovely one,
to have her as my wife!

Freyja didn't accepted this,
so Loki had a plan.
That Thor should dress up as Freyja then,
to go as the wife to her man.
And finally as Thor went to Thrym,
as Freyja for the giants king.
Thrym believed to have her here
and let the hammer bring.

And as Thor got the hammer back,
he took the female dress away.
Thrym was stiff of frightened,
he knew that he now have to pay.
The power of the hammer now came back,
together with Thor ready to slay.
With mighty slashes he smashed the giants king,
on the ground he lay.

Swing your hammer, swing it loud!
Let the air burn!
Fight against the Thurses now
and bring the hammer home!
