Old Rodriguez doesn’t look so hot
He doesn’t come around anymore
And he sleeps all the time

He went back to the war
In the South Pacific Islands
He flew in gliders at night
And watched the natives for their warning sign

That’s my grandad
He lived a century long
And towards the end there
He traveled back in time

He went back to the ranch
And reconnected with his old man
He worked the fields in the day
Then home to dinner with his mother
