Descreva um dia típico para o Twiztid antes de um show.Describe a typical day for Twiztid before a show.
É diferente de duas maneiras, porque passamos nossos dias de forma diferente. Você sabe, a maior delas é dormir até a hora de abrir as portas e ser um caleidoscópio de coisas diferentes. Eu geralmente estou acordado e andando por aí, zoando com os Juggalos. Eu desço para o local e brinco com eles, fumo um pouco de maconha com eles. Sabe como é? Fico por ali, leio o livro de feitiços. Coisas assim. Mas... é diferente. A gente não gosta do dia. Sabe como é? Se tudo fosse à noite, seria incrível, porque é quando a gente se apresenta.It's different in two different ways because we spend our days differently. You know, the larger one being sleeping until doors, and bein' a kaldascope of different things. I'm usualy up and walking around, fucking with the Juggalos. I go down to the venue and fuck around with them, smoke some weed with em. You know what I'm sayin'? Hang out, read through the book of spells. Stuff like that. But... it's different. We don't like the day. You know what I'm sayin'? If everything was night that would be awesome, because that's when we get our gig on.
Beleza, então quando vocês estão em turnê, podem passar por algumas cidades e algumas pessoas pensam "oh, o Twiztid não gosta da gente" ou "o ICP não gosta da gente", mas geralmente isso não é verdade. O que é preciso para montar uma turnê? Sabe, por que vocês às vezes passam por algumas cidades ou vão a uma cidade às vezes...Aight well okay when you guys are doing a tour, you may pass over some cities and some people think oh "Twiztid doesn't like us" you know "ICP doesn't like us" but obviously usually that's not the case. What does it take to put a tour together? You know like why do you pass over some cities sometimes or hit a city sometimes...
Bem, eu diria que cerca de 85% das cidades nos Estados Unidos não querem que a gente toque lá. Não tem nada a ver com a gente, sabe como é? Sabemos que há Juggalos em todo lugar e se pudéssemos ir a qualquer lugar, iríamos... Mas, por exemplo, Milwaukee foi um lugar, quer dizer, eles não queriam a gente lá. Os oficiais da cidade disseram 'De jeito nenhum.' O governador disse 'Vai se foder,' o prefeito, tudo. Isso se resume a coisas assim, se resume à política. Não tem nada a ver com a gente, a gente não faz isso. Quer dizer, há cidades onde dizemos, temos que ir aqui, temos que ir ali, mas nunca houve um momento em que dissemos 'Nunca mais vamos lá' ou algo assim. Nunca é assim. Tudo depende da cidade. E está ficando cada vez mais difícil, cara, eles estão fazendo coisas como não deixar os juggalos aparecerem até, sabe, 20 minutos antes de abrir as portas, coisas assim. I mean, there are cities where we're like, we gotta go here, we gotta go there, but there's never been a time where we've been like 'We're never going there again' or shit like that. it's never like that. it's all up to the city. and it's getting harder and harder, dude they're doing shit like they won't let juggalos show up until, you know, 20 minutes before doors, shit like that. It's fuckin insane.
Agora, é mais difícil para vocês por causa do ICP? Sabe, eu sei que muitos lugares não deixam o ICP por causa do faygo e já ouviram as histórias. Isso torna mais difícil para vocês agendarem shows porque estão com eles?Now is it harder for you guys because of ICP? You know like i know a lot of places won't let ICP because of the faygo and they've heard the whole stories. Does that make it harder for you guys to book shows because you're with them?
Oh, com certeza. Sabe, estamos todos no mesmo barco. Todo mundo que odeia o ICP, pelo menos tem um motivo para odiá-los. Eles te dão um motivo, mas se você perguntar por que eles odeiam a gente, é porque estamos com o ICP. É todo mundo. Crianças, pais, estações de rádio, estações de vídeo, gravadoras, promotores, agentes de booking. Se eles não gostam deles, 9 vezes em 10 eles não gostam da gente. Então o que você vai fazer? Passar por cima deles.Oh yeah. you know, we're thrown right into the same boat. Everybody who hates ICP, at least they have a reason to hate them. They'll give you a reason, but if you ask why they hate us, it's because we're with ICP. that's everybody. kids, parents, radio stations, video stations, record labels, promoters, booking agents. if they don't like them, 9 times out of 10 they dont like us. So what are you gunna fuckin do? Go around em.
Certo, vamos lá. Vocês lançaram o Mirror/Mirror como um EP, tinha 10 músicas, o que é geralmente um pouco maior. Por que vocês lançaram como EP em vez de esperar e colocar mais quatro ou cinco faixas e fazer um álbum completo?Alright uh let's see. You guys releraes Mirror/Mirror as an EP, it had 10 songs on it though which is usually a little bigger, Why did you release it as an EP as opposed to waiting and putting four-five more tracks on and making it full length?
Bem, na verdade estávamos fazendo outra coisa. Estávamos fazendo esse projeto Black Majik. E isso acabou não dando certo, porque não era o que queríamos. Estava perto, mas não era o que queríamos. Não era diferente de uma música do Twiztid para mim. É como a música "Alone" que era uma música do Black Majik, mas eu poderia imaginá-la no Freekshow. Então foi tipo, caramba, essa parada é boa, precisamos lançar um álbum. Mas não queríamos lançar um álbum completo. Não queríamos que todo mundo pegasse esse álbum e pensasse, tipo, esse É o grande álbum, por assim dizer. Não tem gravadora grande por trás, distribuição mínima, sabe, algo estritamente para os juggalos. Achamos que seria legal dizer que era um EP para surpreender todo mundo quando vissem, sabe, 'Caramba, tem 10 músicas aqui.' Então isso é legal, por isso não imprimimos a lista de faixas até você comprar o CD e abrir e dizer "Caramba, tem muito mais do que 5 músicas aqui."Well, actually we were doing something else. We were doing this Black Majik project. And that just kinda fell through, cuz it wasn't what we wanted. it was close, but it wasn't what we wanted. it was no different than a Twiztid song to me. it's like the song "Alone" was a Black Majik song, but I could picture it on Freekshow. So it was like, fuck, this shit's dope, we needa come out with an album. But we didn't want to come out with a full length. We didn't want everybody to take this album, like, this IS the big one, so to speak. there's no major label behind it, minimal distribution, you know, something strictly for the juggalos. We figured we'd say it was an EP to flip everybody's wig when they see, you know, 'Oh shit, there's 10 songs on here.' so that's dope, that's why we didn't print the track listing until you bought the cd and opened it and said "Damn, there's a lot more than 5 songs on here."

Não é nada disso. É sobre o mainstream. A América mainstream e o que acontece quando algo como a gente é filtrado nisso. É como, estávamos na Island-Def Jam, e a primeira coisa que eles fizeram foi nos enviar uma lista de faixas com cada palavra de cada música, cada linha do álbum, com linhas cruzadas. Eles querem a gente na gravadora deles, querem que a gente faça dinheiro para eles, mas não querem que a gente faça do nosso jeito. Eles querem nos mudar. Então, estamos tipo, vai se foder. Saímos daquela gravadora. Não, de jeito nenhum. Qualquer um que pense que estamos desrespeitando o ICP é um juggahoe. E você pode imprimir isso.It's nothing like that. It's about the mainstream. Mainstream America and what happens when something like us is filtered into that. it's like, we were on Island-Def Jam, and the first thing they did was send us back a track listing with every word to every song, every line on the album, with fuckin lines crossed out of it. They want us on their record label, they want us to make them money, but they don't want us to do it our way. They want to change us. So we're like fuck you. We left that record label. No, hell no. Anybody who thinks that we're dissin ICP is a fuckin juggahoe. And you can print that.
É só que, vocês não costumavam usar maquiagem, as pessoas achavam que vocês eram mais hip hop/rap, e então no Freekshow vocês ficaram mais rock, como o ICP estava fazendo. Então isso levou as pessoas a acreditar que talvez isso fosse algum tipo de desrespeito.It's just that, you guys didn't used to do make-up, people thought that you used to be more hip hop/rappier, and then Freekshow you got more rockier, like ICP was doin. So that's what led people to believe maybe this was some sort of diss.
Se você pensar bem, o ICP não é o único que fez essa parada. Papa Roach fez, Limp Bizkit fez, Kid Rock fez. Sabe, todo mundo fez. Todas essas bandas de rock estão tentando ser rap, e elas soam uma merda. Elas não chegam nem perto. Então, foi meio que uma piada, quase, tipo uma brincadeira. Todas essas pessoas estão fazendo isso, então estamos tipo "Vamos mostrar como é fácil." A gente gosta, é legal, mas isso não é a gente. Todas essas pessoas estão fazendo isso, mas só nós somos comparados ao ICP. O que é legal, tudo bem. A gente não se importa. Mas para as pessoas acharem que estamos desrespeitando eles, é uma loucura. Eu não consigo acreditar nisso. Mas não sei, eu acho. Parece que os juggalos querem que a gente desrespeite eles às vezes... os caras estão procurando por drama. É por isso que eu fico longe da internet. De verdade, cara, monoxide não tem nada a ver com a internet.If you think about it, ICP is not the only ones who did that shit. Papa Roach did it, Limp Bizkit did it, Kid Rock did it. You know, everybody did it. All these motherfucking rock bands are trying to be rap, and they sound like shit. They can't hold a candle to it. So, it was kind of like a pun almost, kind of like a joke. All these motherfuckers are doing it, so we're like "We'll show you how easy it is." We like it it's cool, but that aint us. All there motherfuckers are doing it, but we only get compared to icp. Which is cool, it's fine. We dont trip. But for people to think that we're dissin them, fuckin insane. I can't beleive that shit. But I dunno, I guess. It sounds like the juggalos want us to diss them sometimes.. fuckers are lookin for some drama. That's why I stay off the internet. For real dude, monoxide has nothing to do with the internet.
