I wake to a fire that burns my skin away
The light of day, a merciless blaze, no escape
Each beam a searing truth I cannot face
The Sun devours my soul, leaves only pain and waste

I dread the dawn, the warmth I cannot bear
Each ray a reminder of despair
I seek the shadows, hide from the searing glow
But even there, the Sun’s reach always grows
