O General do Rei teve um sonho, um sonho verificado por todos os sábios do reino, com marcas de profecia. O General entra na sala do trono e se ajoelha diante de seu rei.The King's General has had a dream, a dream verified by all the wise men of the kingdom of having the marks of prophecy. The General enters the throne room, and kneels before his king.

Rei do Reino Ocidental:King of the Western Kingdom :
"Agora, o que você viu?"Now, what did you see?
O que você sonhou?What did you dream?
Fale."Speak."

General do Reino Ocidental:General of the Western Kingdom :
"Minha visão se clareou em um dia tranquilo"My vision cleared upon a tranquil day
Cercando um castelo, bem distanteEncircling a castle, far away
Um reino de riquezas e prosperidadeA kingdom of riches and prosperity
Envolto por nossas tropas, levantadas por mimEnveloped by our troops, raised by me
O Reino do Norte cairá a seus pésThe Kingdom of the North shall fall to thee
E com isso controlaremos o marAnd with it we'll control the sea
Viajar para reinos novos e prósperosTravel to far, new kingdoms in prosperous lands
Para o Reino Oriental de areias do deserto!"To the Eastern Kingdom of desert sands!"

Rei do Reino Ocidental:King of the Western Kingdom :

Ato 2, Cena 1Act 2, Scene 1
O General está com suas tropas no topo de uma colina, cercando o Reino Ocidental. O General fala com suas tropas.The General stands with his troops atop a hill, encircling the Western Kingdom . The General speaks to his troops.

General do Reino Ocidental:General of the Western Kingdom :
"Ataquem os portões, avante, às armas"Storm the gates, onward, to arms
Sem restrições, eles devem sofrerNo restraint, they must suffer
Ah, mas espere, eles fortificam o porãoAh, but wait, they fortify the basement
O que está guardado? De importância?What's encased? Of importance?
Agora eu vejo, lembro de uma memóriaNow I see, I recall a memory
Do meu sonho, recordo um finalFrom my dream, I recollect an ending
Ataquem os portões, pelo porãoStorm the gates, through the basement
Eles vão recuar, nós somos os vitoriosos!"They'll retreat, we are the victors!"

Cena 2Scene 2
O General está sentado sozinho, encostado em uma árvore. Suas memórias da batalha devastam sua mente e vêm em surtos incoerentes.The General sits alone, huddled against a tree. His memories of the battle wreak havoc on his mind and come in incoherent spurts.

General do Reino Ocidental:The General of the Western Kingdom :
"Ataquem os portões!""Storm the gates!"

Soldado do Reino do Norte:Soldier of the Northern Kingdom :
"O Dorminhoco acorda!""The Sleeper awakes!"

Camponês do Reino do Norte 1:Peasant of the Northern Kingdom 1:
"O que você fez?""What have you done?"

Camponês do Reino do Norte 2:Peasant of the Northern Kingdom 2:
"Estamos livres de seus sonhos!""We're free from its dreams!"

Ato 3, Cena 1Act 3, Scene 1
O General retornou ao seu Reino. Corpos estão espalhados pelas ruas e os gemidos dos moribundos enchem o ar. Ele entra na sala do trono de seu Rei, e a encontra salpicada de sangue e cheia de cadáveres. Nenhum dos corpos é identificável, apenas cascas de carne eviscerada.The General has returned to his Kingdom. Bodies litter the streets and the moans of the dying fill the air. He enters his King's throne room, to find it spattered with blood and littered with corpses. None of the corpses are identifiable, just husks of eviscerated flesh.

"Não! Eu tentei alcançar nosso reino,"No! I tried to reach our kingdom,
Mas, alas, o demônio os alcançouBut, alas, the demon has reached them
Agora não tenho nada pelo que viver,Now I have nothing to live for,
Vou tirar minha vida com minha espada!"I'll take my life with my sword!"

O Dorminhoco aparece, seu rosto horrendo encarando a alma do General do Reino Ocidental. Ele se encolhe de medo, e ele fala:The Sleeper appears, its hideous visage staring into the General of the Western Kingdom 's soul. He cowers in fear, and it speaks:

"Não, ainda não, você não vai expirar"No, not yet, you shall not expire
O hospedeiro que eu desejoThe host I desire
Seu destino, ser meu escravoYour destiny, to be my slave
Até o dia em que eu encontre seu túmulo!"Until the day I find your grave!"
