Drifting through painful thoughts
As you stare up at the ceiling
The swirling cortex of your mind
Pulling itself through your skull
Falling into a chasm of infinite depth
With infinite extent
Fall on into the darkness
Of sleep with open eyes

Chained to the ground
Where a thousand eyes glare down from above
Dissolving into a maelstrom of fractal patterns
That burn inside the eye
Burning like the surface of the sun
A star casting off its gaseous shell
Collapsing into a vortex of entoptic nightmare singularity

Sitting down you faced a mirror
Stared deep inside your shadow as it looked into your eyes
Saw your nightmares painted real
Watched it turn to leave you there
Your reflection empty
Just like your world

The mirror's glass and frame cracked and melted away
Dripping to the ground it collected into a mirrored pool
Of viscous liquid that pulled you in
Sinking, drowned in your own reflection
