Sobre a Charneca

Up On The Heath

Aqui estou em cima da charnecaHere I stand upon the heath
Toda Londres dorme embaixoThe whole of London sleeps beneath
Concentra, a última descobertaConcentrate, the latest find
Libere o poder da minha menteUnleash the power of my mind

Lá em uma nave, aqui no chãoUp in a spaceship, down in the ground
Grandes risadas, o único somGreat pits of laughter the only sound
Tudo vibra, o céu brilha em vermelhoEverything buzzes, the sky glows red
Isso tudo acontece?Does it all happen?
Ou são só os idiotas na minha cabeçaOr is it just the numbskulls in my head

A noite explode com mil luzesNighttime explodes with myriad lights
Mas não consigo focar, por mais que eu tenteYet I can't focus try as I might
Meu cérebro é um redemoinho de ideias malucasMy brain is a whirlpool of crazed ideas
Seu vórtice suga, afogando meus medosIt's vortex is sucking, drowning my fears

Conforme o tempo passa, a sensação cresceAs the time passes the feeling grows
Ganhei mais quatro dedosI've gained four more fingers
Mas perdi todos os meus dedos do péBut I've lost all my toes
O ar é tão fresco quanto uma nota de um novo poundThe air is as crisp as a new pound note
A lua se aproximaThe mooning approaches
Trazendo consigo um antídotoBringing with it an antidote

Aqui estou deitado na charnecaHere I lie upon the heath
Coberto de grama, uma coroa simbólicaCovered in grass, symbolic wreath
Porque na noite passada, parte de mim morreuBecause last night part of me died
Aquelas ideias ocultas que não consegui esconderThose hidden thoughts I could not hide
