Short Term Memory

Sure it's nice to feel wanted, but not like this when I don't want it
You've gotta let go
You've gotta let go
It's getting to the point where I have to be blunt
Shoot your shot somewhere else
And leave me alone
Leave me alone

Get it through your head this time
Cause I'm not gonna change my mind

Hey, hey
Better get your head checked if you're seeing me with you
Hey, hey
Knock knock knock but I'm not getting through
It's like the lights are on but no one's home
Yeah, no one answers me
Hey, hey
You have such a short term memory

I'm starting to get frustrated cause how much clearer can I say it
I don't want you
I don't want you
The more you ask the less likely I am to agree, so would you kindly
Find someone new
So I don't see you

(Get it through)
Get it through your head this time
(Your head)
Cause I'm not gonna change my mind

Hey, hey
Better get your head checked if you're seeing me with you
Hey, hey
Knock knock knock but I'm not getting through
It's like the lights are on but no one's home
Yeah, no one answers me
Hey, hey
You have such a short term memory

I hope I don't see you around
(I hope I don't see you around)
But if I do my aim is getting pretty good from all the times I shot you down

Hey, hey
Better get your head checked if you're seeing me with you
Hey, hey
Knock knock knock but I'm not getting through
It's like the lights are on but no one's home
Yeah, no one answers me
Hey, hey
You have such a short term memory
