Outrun You

I ran from the future, I ran from the past
I ran from commitment and didn't look back
I ran from the steeple, I ran from your voice
I ran to the world and I turned up the noise
Anyone else I know would have given up, but

You chased me down
Through the wind and rain
The hound of heaven
Kept calling my name
All Your love
Coming after me
'Til this wayward child
Finally hit my knees
Oh, no matter where my
Wandering heart ran to
I couldn't outrun You, couldn't outrun you

Heard You say that my sin had been nailed to the cross
I was free from my debt 'cause Your blood paid the cost
My life has been changed and it's amazing what mercy can do
It's all 'cause of You

You chased me down
Through the wind and rain
The hound of heaven
Kept calling my name
All Your love
Coming after me
'Til this wayward child
Finally hit my knees
Oh, no matter where my
Wandering heart ran to
I couldn't outrun You, couldn't outrun you

I was losing myself
I was losing control
But hallelujah, I've been found
And You won't let go
