He put you here so you could spend your life down on your knees.
He watches you so don't fuck up, cuz he might not let you in
He gave you rules to follow and he gave you things to do
But when you followed them what did he do for you

Serve him and eternity will feel like such a breeze
Or serve yourself and make sure you have just what you need
You've got your own body and you bleed your own blood
Why spend you whole life following anyone?

You fill the void inside your head with thoughts of heaven when you're dead.
There's more to life than dying, so live for life instead

So scared of life we close our eyes
Hoping that someone will be our guide
We give into stories and believe the lies
We're a mindless bunch...

It's OK to hope for the future, because its hope that keeps us alive
When you substitute faith for the void in your head then you're living to die.
