Agora, nós que somos fortes devemos suportar as fraquezas dos fracos, e não agradar a nós mesmos.Now we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Que cada um de nós agrade ao seu próximo para o que é bom, para edificação.2 Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying.
3 Pois Cristo também não se agradou a si mesmo; mas, como está escrito, As afrontas dos que te afrontaram caíram sobre mim.3 For Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me.
4 Pois tudo o que foi escrito antes foi escrito para nosso aprendizado, para que, através da paciência e do consolo das escrituras, tenhamos esperança.4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.
5 Agora, o Deus da paciência e do consolo conceda a vocês estarem em um só pensamento uns com os outros, segundo Cristo Jesus:5 Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:
6 para que, em um só ânimo, vocês glorifiquem a Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.6 that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Portanto, recebam-se uns aos outros, assim como Cristo também os recebeu, para a glória de Deus.7 Wherefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.
8 Pois eu digo que Cristo foi feito ministro da circuncisão pela verdade de Deus, para confirmar as promessas feitas aos pais,8 For I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises [given] unto the fathers,
9 e que os gentios glorifiquem a Deus por sua misericórdia; como está escrito, Portanto, eu te louvarei entre os gentios, e cantarei ao teu nome.9 and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles, And sing unto thy name.
10 E novamente ele diz, Alegrem-se, gentios, com seu povo.10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11 E novamente, Louvem ao Senhor, todos os gentios; e que todos os povos o louvem.11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; And let all the peoples praise him.
12 E novamente, Isaías diz, Haverá a raiz de Jessé, e aquele que se levantará para governar sobre os gentios; nele os gentios esperarão.12 And again, Isaiah saith, There shall be the root of Jesse, And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles; On him shall the Gentiles hope.
13 Agora, o Deus da esperança os encha de toda alegria e paz na fé, para que vocês transbordem em esperança, pelo poder do Espírito Santo.13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
14 E eu mesmo também estou persuadido de vocês, meus irmãos, que vocês estão cheios de bondade, repletos de todo conhecimento, capazes também de admoestar uns aos outros.14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15 Mas eu escrevo de forma mais ousada a vocês em certa medida, como relembrando-os, por causa da graça que me foi dada por Deus,15 But I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God,
16 para que eu seja ministro de Cristo Jesus aos gentios, ministrando o evangelho de Deus, para que a oferta dos gentios seja aceitável, sendo santificada pelo Espírito Santo.16 that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17 Portanto, eu tenho a minha glória em Cristo Jesus nas coisas que dizem respeito a Deus.17 I have therefore my glorifying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.
18 Pois não me atreverei a falar de coisa alguma, exceto daquelas que Cristo fez por meio de mim, para a obediência dos gentios, por palavra e por obra,18 For I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,
19 no poder de sinais e maravilhas, no poder do Espírito Santo; de modo que, de Jerusalém e arredores até Ilírico, eu preguei plenamente o evangelho de Cristo;19 in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;
20 sim, fazendo da minha meta pregar o evangelho, não onde Cristo já havia sido nomeado, para não edificar sobre o fundamento de outro;20 yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was [already] named, that I might not build upon another man's foundation;
21 mas, como está escrito, Eles verão, a quem nenhuma nova chegou, e aqueles que não ouviram entenderão.21 but, as it is written, They shall see, to whom no tidings of him came, And they who have not heard shall understand.
22 Portanto, também fui impedido muitas vezes de ir até vocês:22 Wherefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you:
23 mas agora, não tendo mais lugar nessas regiões, e tendo há muitos anos um desejo de ir até vocês,23 but now, having no more any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come unto you,
24 sempre que eu for à Espanha (pois espero vê-los em minha viagem, e ser encaminhado por vocês até lá, se primeiro eu tiver sido satisfeito em parte com a sua companhia)--24 whensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)--
25 mas agora, eu [digo], vou a Jerusalém, ministrando aos santos.25 but now, I [say], I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints.
26 Pois foi do agrado da Macedônia e da Acaia fazer uma certa contribuição para os pobres entre os santos que estão em Jerusalém.26 For it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem.
27 Sim, foi do agrado deles; e eles são devedores deles. Pois se os gentios foram feitos participantes das suas coisas espirituais, devem também servi-los nas coisas carnais.27 Yea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it [to them] also to minister unto them in carnal things.
28 Quando, portanto, eu tiver cumprido isso, e selado para eles este fruto, irei até vocês na Espanha.28 When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by you unto Spain.
29 E eu sei que, quando eu for até vocês, irei na plenitude da bênção de Cristo.29 And I know that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of Christ.
30 Agora, eu vos exorto, irmãos, por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e pelo amor do Espírito, que vocês lutem juntos comigo em suas orações a Deus por mim;30 Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
31 para que eu seja livrado dos desobedientes na Judéia, e que meu ministério que tenho por Jerusalém seja aceitável aos santos;31 that I may be delivered from them that are disobedient in Judaea, and [that] my ministration which [I have] for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;
32 para que eu possa ir até vocês com alegria pela vontade de Deus, e juntos encontrar descanso.32 that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.
33 Agora, o Deus da paz esteja com todos vocês. Amém.33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
